Senior Red Belt Curriculum (4th gup)

Staff Form (sah gup jangbong  hyung)

1.  Assume a right guard stance.

2.  Upright stance left and right waist whips.

3.  Step to left and right waist whips.

4.  Body spins left and right waist whips.

5.  Execute the No. 3 short form forward (12:00) and back (6:00).

6.  Execute forward paddle staff spin, counter clock turn facing 6:00 and execute reverse paddle spin, counter clock turn to 12:00 and execute forward paddle spin.

7.  Right step back and assume a back stance with staff tucked under right arm with thumb under grip.

8.  Release staff and re grip thumb over grip.

9.  Right step forward and execute a right over head spin inside high strike (12:00) then right step back into previous stance with staff tucked under right arm with thumb under grip.

10. Repeat step 8 to 9.

11. Repeat step 8 and execute a right over head spin inside high strike toward 6:00 as left step around into a left back stance facing 6:00 then left step - right step clockwise turn back into previous stance facing 12:00 with staff tucked under right arm with thumb under grip.

12. Right step forward into a horse stance and execute the No. 4 short staff form.

13. Right step back into a right guard stance and execute the No. 2 short staff form.

14. Return to attention stance.
